Central South University successfully developed high Mo low grade scheelite alkaline extraction and clean metallurgical technology

Recently, China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association in Beijing organized a special achievement assessment, evaluation results of the expert group headed by academician Qiu Dingfan of Central South University and Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Group Limited by Share Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Luanchuan Molybdenum Group") cooperation to complete the "high Mo low grade scheelite alkaline extraction high performance cleaning metallurgy technology and engineering demonstration project was evaluated the achievements of science and technology. The experts agreed that: the project technological innovation, comprehensive utilization of resources, waste low emissions, high technology is mature, advanced technical and economic indicators, economic and social benefits significantly, reached the international advanced level in the high Mo low grade scheelite processing technology.
The school of metallurgy and environment, metallurgical laboratory of separation science and engineering professor Zhang Guiqing team and Luomu group cooperation in Luanchuan Molybdenum Group scheelite resources reserves, low grade tungsten (WO3<30%), CO (Mo2~3%) and phosphorus molybdenum (P2O5>20%) content is high, the existing tungsten metallurgy technology to extract the high cost and large amount of waste water and resources the comprehensive utilization rate is low, the development of the soda leaching - Extraction - high pressure alkaline separation of tungsten and molybdenum in the first closed cycle process, extraction of tungsten and molybdenum production of ammonium paratungstate from clean and efficient low grade scheelite in (APT) and ammonium molybdate, high value of comprehensive utilization of water, alkali and ammonia with high efficiency and low cost circuit the separation and recycling, molybdenum tungsten and molybdenum and phosphorus symbiotic elements. Tungsten is produced with national standard zero grade APT products, and more than 80% of molybdenum is produced in the form of high value national standard zero grade ammonium molybdate (traditional methods for low value molybdenum residue), while phosphorus is enriched in leached slag that can be used as phosphate ore. The new process has basically realized the zero discharge of waste residue and waste water, and the waste water produced by ton APT is less than 5M3. Compared with the traditional method, the wastewater is reduced by 80~95%, the yield of tungsten is increased by more than 3%, and the economic benefit of APT tons is increased by more than 9000 yuan. The technology of high molybdenum low grade scheelite with an annual output of 10000 tons of APT comprehensive utilization demonstration project of the first phase of the project (based on an annual output of 5000 tons of APT) have been completed and put into production in March 2016, the overall stability of the standards of production in October of that year to achieve the production line, the successful implementation of the large-scale industrial new technology application.
In addition to complete technology to achieve the industrial application in Luanchuan Molybdenum Group tungsten Co. outside the project, one of the three key technology of quaternary ammonium alkali tungsten extraction technology, special resin continuous ion exchange depth of molybdenum removal technology "and" depth in tungsten extraction technology ", respectively as independent unit technology the application in the domestic and 11 molybdenum smelting enterprises, significant economic and social benefits.
